November 2nd

It was 76 degrees here today, and probably the last day for D to be jumping in puddles for quite a while. He also didn't want any more pictures taken when I did the close up after he was done playing in the puddle.

More puddles

D was so happy that it rained during the night so that he had a puddle to play in today. It's bright and hot today, so perfect for him to play.

Preschool Age 3

We had an event tonight I'm not quite believing it's time for: school orientation! Actually it was for 3 year old preschool so the kids and parents could see each other and the classroom.

We got to take home a folder with our first (of many I'm sure) Scholastic book club order forms and I can't believe D has grown to be ready for preschool-time has flown by.

D had fun tonight. So much so that when it was time to leave, Chris had to carry him out of the school (his preschool is held in the same school he'll attend when he gets older). He tried to shut the car door so that he could stay at the school and cried on the way home cause he didn't want to leave and wanted to use the scissors again and cut.

So I think he looks forward to when he actually starts. He's still not completely potty trained though, so hopefully we don't have issues for the short time he's at school each week.

Can't believe how fast the time has flown and how fast it will continue to fly!

Cucumbers

The Pibb can is for scale. This cucumber has missed getting picked a number of times! We couldn't believe that 3 of us have looked for cukes and missed it. Canning of sweet, lime and cinnamon pickles is in full swing.

Happy 3rd Birthday D!

The mini cupcakes were supposed to be for dessert at daycare but everyone there is sick so D is staying home and having them for breakfast.

Fun days!

D had fun in the museum yesterday with some binoculars.

Today he had a really fun afternoon playing at the beach at Lake Namekagon, mainly splashing everyone and destroying whatever anyone was building with sand. So much so that he fell asleep on the way back to the condo!

D had quite the look going on the drive to cousin J's confirmation. We had fun visiting with family today.

He was watching Thomas the Train after supper and fell asleep at 7!

Playset

We got D's new playset up this weekend. He enjoys the seasaw and REALLY likes his slide. He also made himself right at home in the little "house" part by taking off his socks and shoes.

32 Months Old!

D is 32 months old today and enjoyed licking the brownie batter. He no longer needs the big stool to wash dishes either. He enjoys using his hammer to pound his blocks in place and plays with his blocks a lot. He's just over 38 inches tall and just over 37 pounds.

Couldn't wait...

We celebrated Uncle Brian's birthday and D couldn't wait for his own piece.

We thought maybe he wanted to use the toilet since he got his stool out to get on the big toilet. When I came to help get p.j.s off he protested though. Silly nut just wanted to sit up high evidently.

Green beans

D won't eat green beans in any form, whether fresh, frozen or canned. However, he will eat plenty of them if they are the appetizer fried green beans. He's eating them and cheesing for the camera here.

He turns 2 1/2 tomorrow. He's just over 36 pounds and is about 38" tall. He's speaking more clearly now, and is saying new words.

He's also paying more attention to Polly when he spots her and likes it when Chris or I bring her in for him to pet.
